Task Force 3-506^th Vietnam era History

We have started to document the history of the 3^rd Battalion, Airborne, 506^th Infantry and its support units from it’s reactivation at Fort Campbell in the spring of 1967 forward.  Thanks to the efforts of our Association Historian David R attee (cousin of Carl Rattee, KIA 1968) and the Geraci family we have obtained over 500 pages of the Colonel’s military records including his service as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps in the South Pacific in WW II.  The beginning of our “Rendezvous with Destiny” starts with the story of Col. John Phillip Geraci and will continue as our research allows.  If you have stories or information about individuals or units you would like to see included please bring it to our attention.
