Objectives of the Association and Website

The objectives of this Association shall be to preserve in patriotic reverence the memory of the fame and glory of the Task Force 3rd Battalion 506^th Airborne Infantry, to maintain and strengthen the bonds of comradeship which distinguished the men of that Battalion and its attached units, and to provide for the gathering and dissemination of information concerning those Veterans living and dead.

Provide information on the location of our Fallen Comrades grave locations, their family information when allowed. To provide for the continued support of our Memorial Day flower distribution to those gravesites by becoming a recognized and incorporated Veterans group with a Federal ID number which enables us to solicit and receive tax deductible donations from individuals and corporations. As of 30 September 2005 the goal of becoming a War Veterans Association able to receive tax deductible donations to our Charitable programs has been accomplished!  Provide for their periodic assembly in local and national reunions, and to enhance the Battalion’s prestige in all military and civilian circles.

This web site is a Free and open forum for the exchange of ideas, memories and the resurrection of old friendships.  Any Currahee, member of an attached unit or their families may upon verification be given free of charge a password allowing them access to the members only section of this site.  This section contains a message board for frank and unfettered discussion, periodic newsletters and dissemination of restricted information on our KIA’s and other information our members request be restricted to members only.
